Warranty and Return Policy

This Warranty and Return Policy ("Policy") is part of the Terms of Service that govern your interactions and transactions with us. This Policy is issued by The Minimal Company Inc. ("Minimal," "Company," "we," "us," or "our") and applies to you, the consumer or purchaser, whether you buy directly from us or from an authorized reseller. This Policy also extends to "gift recipients" (as defined below) who receive a Minimal product ("Product") as a gift. Please note that this Policy covers only the original purchaser or gift recipient and cannot be transferred or assigned. This Policy is invalid for any Minimal products purchased from unauthorized sources.
By placing an order with us or an authorized reseller, you agree to the terms of this Policy. If you do not adhere to the procedures outlined below, your request for a cancellation, return, exchange, or refund may be denied.
Order Cancellations Before Shipment
- Cancellation and Refund: You may cancel your order and request a full refund at any time before the Product has been shipped.
- Cancellation Process: To cancel your order before shipment, contact our support team at support@tryminimal.com. Once your cancellation request is processed, we will notify you of your refund eligibility. Refunds will be issued via the original payment method within ten (10) business days of our notification. Additional information may be required to process your request.
Returns and Refunds/Exchanges After Shipment (US/Canada)
- Returns Within 14 Days: If you are not satisfied with the Product, you can request a return within fourteen (14) days of the original shipping date, provided the Product is in "like new" condition and in the original packaging.
- Return Process: Contact our support team at support@tryminimal.com to request a return merchandise authorization (RMA), which will include shipping instructions. All returns must include original accessories and packaging. Proof of purchase and relevant information may be required. We will cover U.S. domestic shipping costs for returns.
- Refunds or Replacements: Once we receive your returned item, we will inspect it to confirm eligibility. If eligible, we will notify you and process a replacement or refund within ten (10) business days.
- Defective or Missing Products: If your Product is broken, defective, or missing upon delivery, you can request a refund or exchange. However, if the damage is caused by you, we may refuse or reduce the refund amount at our discretion.
- Wear and Tear or User-Caused Damages: This Policy does not cover ordinary wear and tear or damages caused by improper use, neglect, or accidents.
Returns and Refunds/Exchanges After Shipment (EU/UK): 14-Day Right of Withdrawal
- 14-Day Refund for Unopened Products: EU/UK customers may return an unopened and unused Product within 14 days of delivery.
- Right of Withdrawal: EU/UK customers must notify us of their decision to withdraw from their order within 14 days of delivery by emailing support@tryminimal.com. The Product must be returned within 14 days of this notification. You will be responsible for return shipping costs.
- Refund Process: If the Right of Withdrawal is exercised properly and the Product is returned in the same condition, we will reimburse all payments, including original shipping fees (excluding upgraded shipping fees), within 14 days of notification. Reimbursement will be processed using the original payment method.
- Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal: This right does not apply to customized products, products showing wear and tear, products not suitable for return due to health or hygiene reasons, or any other items not covered by applicable laws.

For customers outside the US, Canada, EU, or UK, please contact our support team at support@tryminimal.com for assistance with returns.
Warranty
- Coverage: This Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the delivery date or any longer statutory warranty period. The Product must function according to documentation, instructions, or technical specifications under normal use.
- Exclusions: This Warranty does not cover: some text
- Normal wear and tear
- Defects from misuse, accidents, abuse, or neglect
- Damage from natural disasters or acts of God
- Unauthorized modifications or repairs
- Commercial use
- Software issues, internet connectivity, data loss, or costs associated with data recovery
- Warranty Claims: If a defect is found upon delivery, we will either repair or replace the Product, or provide a refund. Refunds include original shipping costs but exclude upgraded shipping fees. Returns require an RMA authorization.
- Warranty Process: Contact support@tryminimal.com with your Product details, issue description, steps taken to resolve the issue, and photos of the problem. We may require additional proof. If a covered defect is confirmed, we will issue an RMA for return. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the Product.
- Voided Warranty: The Warranty is void if: some text
- The firmware is flashed or the Product is rooted
- The Product has been opened or modified
- The Product is used improperly after a fault occurs
Exclusions from Warranty
- Products won through promotions or competitions
- Gifted products not defined as gift recipients
- Products with removed or defaced serial numbers
- Spare parts or accessories
- Used or pre-owned products
